The Water Park is one of the most exciting family-friendly attractions on the island of Rhodes. It is in Faliraki, about 25 minutes drive from Leonardo Kolymbia Resort.
The Water Park has all kinds of slides, pools, water games, and artificial waves, some suitable for all ages, and others designed for the little ones.
Some of the most exciting rides of the Water Park include the Space Bowl Slide for speed and an adrenaline rush; the fun and fast Twister Slide; the Free Fall Slide for a thrilling slide from the highest point of the park; and the Kamizake Slide, a top favourite and one of the fastest slides in the park.
For visitors who prefer a more relaxed Water Park experience, the Lazy River has calm waters and beautiful views of Faliraki, swimming pools, and a Funny Bridge with sprinklers and small slides. Younger children can play safely in the Pirate Ship, which has slides and cannons that throw water, or on the Children Water Slides. A toddlers’ pool is available too.
The Water Park has several snack bars and restaurants, and a Crepe and Fruit Station near the entrance. There’s also a supermarket selling convenience products, like beachwear, sunglasses, lotions, and so on.
The Water Park is open May through October, with different hours of operation in the high season (June, July, August) and low season (May, September, October).

The Aquarium of Rhodes was established in 1934 at the initiative of Mario Lago during the Italian occupation of the Dodecanese. It was originally a research centre called Reale Istituto di Ricerche Biologiche di Rodi. It began operations in 1937, studying hydrobiology, the sponges, and the fisheries of the Aegean Sea.
It is in an Art-Deco edifice designed by Armando Bernabiti. The marine environment inspired the ornaments on the façade. Inside the building, a corridor resembling an underwater sea cave is ornate with natural seashells, which enhance the environment, enriching the experience.
At the same time the headquarters of the Hydrobiological Station of Rhodes, the Aquarium of Rhodes exhibits all kinds of fish from the Mediterranean Sea, dolphins, seals, sea turtles, octopuses, and marine flora. A separate facility of the Aquarium cares for injured sea turtles and seals.

When you vacation in Rhodes, one of the most fun-filled activities available on the island is racing go-karts. There are several tracks you could choose, including Kartodrome Rodos in Vrisia and Lardons Go-karts in Lartos.
Kartodrome Rodos (Track of Champions) has an outdoor track, go-karts in good condition, and offers safety helmets too. The track is often used to host professional races organised in cooperation with the Motorsport Academy, so it’s good to call them before driving there to make sure the track is available.

Lardons Go-karts is just outside the village of Lardos, about 30 minutes’ drive from Leonardo Kolymbia Resort. It’s open daily from 9:00 a.m. until midnight, giving you the opportunity for daylight and nighttime racing. It’s a good outdoor track, with a bridge overpass for spectators, and a bar for drinks with friends after the race. There are also go-karts available for children here.
